We are very excited to launch the 1st Phlebological Round Table Berlin in cooperation with the company Medi on September 18, 2024, at SO/ Berlin Das Stue.
The event is aimed at all colleagues working in phlebology from Berlin and Brandenburg and serves the purpose of promoting intercollegial exchange and optimizing patient care.
We live in an era of change, where categories such as age, orientation, and life circumstances are no longer static. As a result, discrepancies can increasingly arise between our biological age and our emotional, perceived age. The ability to influence our external appearance, particularly in regard to visible changes associated with biological aging, and the desire for medically sound and aesthetically pleasing treatments come to the forefront.
A crucial element in this is the specialist’s expertise, which offers a wide range of options and techniques to adapt an individual's external appearance to their perceived age, do something good for oneself, and eliminate small "beauty flaws" perceived as such.
This enables us to achieve a practical, individualized treatment concept with high patient comfort and excellent cosmetic results.
The foundation of a successful and sustainable therapy is always a careful examination by a phlebologist and venous specialist.
Treating aesthetically disturbing side-branch or spider veins with microfoam therapy without performing careful ultrasound diagnostics of the main veins, deep leg veins, and arteries, and identifying the cause or source of the varicose veins or spider veins, is neither sensible nor sustainable.
The basis of sustainable treatment for your varicose veins or spider veins is always the elimination of the source of venous reflux, for example, through treatment of a main vein varicosis or perforator vein varicosis.
The most important thing for us is to create a reliable, honest, and individualized treatment plan for you.
The individual, personalized diagnostics and consultation of our lipedema patients towards an active lifestyle, with the goal of leading and enjoying a life with reduced or no pain, is very close to our hearts.
Our team of experienced phlebologists and vascular surgeons, along with medical professionals, has many years of experience and clinical practice in the diagnosis and treatment of lipoedema patients. We are proud partners of Lipocheck, a Berlin-based start-up specializing in the education, consultation, and support of lipedema patients through an innovative app.
Through our regular, intensive professional exchange and ongoing education, we ensure that we are up-to-date with the latest research on this still "under-researched" yet prevalent and chronic lipoedema condition, so we can provide the best possible advice and treatment.
We love legs, stand by your side, and are happy to accompany you on your journey!
Over the past 20 years, there has been a paradigm shift in the treatment of varicose veins worldwide.
Today, we have a wide range of scientifically established therapeutic options available for the treatment of varicose vein disease.
In the past, the classic operation involving crossectomy and stripping of the main veins was the treatment of choice. The veins were blocked with incisions and pulled out of the body.
Today, we primarily prefer – when medically appropriate – less invasive, minimally invasive catheter procedures for treating main vein varicosis, as they provide equivalent treatment results with significantly lower invasiveness and complication rates.
The affected vein is punctured under ultrasound guidance, much like a blood draw. Through a small skin incision (mini-cut) under local anesthesia, the catheter is inserted into the vein and positioned under ultrasound control. The vein is treated from the inside and closed off, remaining in the body and being gradually broken down over time.
The cosmetic and aesthetic result is excellent, with significantly shorter downtime compared to traditional surgery. The leg tissue (skin, nerves, subcutaneous tissue, fat tissue) is preserved. Compression therapy is generally only required for a short period after treatment. There is little to no downtime, and your mobility is not restricted.
The established endovenous catheter techniques (radiofrequency, laser, vein glue) have the distinct advantage that we can treat multiple varicose veins simultaneously in one procedure, on an outpatient basis.
Feel free to visit us during our consultation hours for an examination and advice.
